Located in Scandicci, Florence An unassuming warehouse on the outskirts of Florence is where the prototypes for the megabrand’s famous handbags and shoes are made. Vogue Business lifts the lid on the processes and sustainability at the core of Gucci’s Artlab. The 37,000-square-meter space is a stark departure from Gucci’s former factory and workshop, the stately Palazzo Settimanni in Florence’s Oltrarno neighborhood that dates back to the 15th century.
