.005.000.00I really enjoy the Bloom range by Gucci and was initially drawn to the eau de parfum version, but I was gifted this one. This one smells fresher, lighter and more citrusy than the original version and it is a more springtime perfume.
On my search of tuberose perfume, I tried Do Son by Dyptique and Gucci Bloom side by side, they smell identical, Bloom is slightly stronger, so I picked Bloom. It doesn't smell bubble gummy like Fracas or Mancera Velvet Vanilla.While the Eau de Toilette version of Gucci Bloom contains the same main ingredients of tuberose, jasmine, and rangoon creeper, it also incorporates notes of sweet citrus and sandalwood. This perfume has a light and youthful scent that makes it the perfect fragrance for spring. There’s a coolness too – a menthol-like iciness that is entirely evocative of tuberose, the leader in Gucci Bloom’s triumvirate of flowers. Then you get the full force of the white flowers. They are creamy, sweet, heady, symphonic and fresh. The campaign, directed by Glen Luchford, shows actress Dakota Johnson, Hari Nef and Petra Collins floating in a shimmering lake surrounded by flowers and reeds. The fragrance is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.
